Tend Your Own Garden

A gentle soul-check for the season you’re in

There’s this phrase that’s been sitting heavy on my heart lately:

“Tend your own garden.”

In a world where it’s so easy to focus on everyone else’s highlight reel, opinions, or problems… we sometimes forget that we’ve got soil of our own to care for.

But here’s the truth,  whether we realize it or not, we’re all planting something in our lives. Every thought, habit, conversation, and relationship is a seed. And every day, we’re either watering something good… or allowing weeds to quietly grow.

🌱 So I want to ask you:

When was the last time you took inventory of your life?

Have you looked around your garden ? your heart, your home, your habits ? ,and asked:

What’s thriving?

What’s just surviving?

What needs to be gently pulled out and laid at the feet of Jesus?

Because here’s the thing: weeds don’t need permission to grow.

They show up quietly ,through distraction, comparison, compromise, or even busyness. And before we know it, they’re choking out the fruit we were called to bear.

✂️ The Pain and Purpose of Pruning

In John 15:2, Jesus says:

“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away, and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”

Let’s be honest ,  pruning is uncomfortable.

Sometimes it feels like loss, or frustration, or even discipline. But in the Kingdom, pruning isn’t punishment ; it’s preparation.

When God prunes us, He’s not being harsh.

He’s being intentional.

He’s getting rid of what’s draining us so He can grow something far more beautiful in its place.

🌸 So here’s your invitation today:

Take a quiet moment and ask:

• Are there weeds I’ve allowed to grow in my life?

• Is there fruit missing that I want to see again ; peace, joy, gentleness, obedience?

• Is there an area God might be pruning me, not to punish me, but to prepare me?

Let’s be women who don’t ignore the garden of our soul.

Let’s be women who tend the soil, pull the weeds, and stay rooted in Christ.

He’s not done with you yet, He’s just making space for the next harvest 🌿

With love,

💚 Natalia
