It’s Okay to Rest—Your Worth Isn’t Measured by Productivity ✨
We live in a culture that constantly pushes for more—more work, more achievements, more hustle. And while ambition is great, sometimes our bodies and minds need a break. It’s okay to slow down, to breathe, to simply be.
This morning, I woke up in pain. For those who don’t know, I have fibromyalgia, and some days, my body just can’t keep up with all the things I want to do. I have so many ideas—new hats to create, a website to build, posts to write, books to share. But today, my body is asking me to sit, to rest, to listen. So instead, I’m watching my angelfish swim, listening to the gentle sound of water in my fish tank, and letting that be enough.
If you’re having a hard day, I want you to know—it’s okay. It’s okay to rest. It’s okay to pause. It’s okay to listen to what your body is telling you. You are deeply loved by a beautiful God, and your purpose isn’t diminished by a single day of rest.
Take a breath. Be still. And know that even in your stillness, you are exactly where you need to be. ❤️

Yesss! As someone who also struggles with chronic illness, this is absolutely spot on! Thank you for sharing this!
